The touch you've been missing.

Is now brought to you courtesy of Darron Thomas

I am of course referring to the touch that Mr. Thomas puts on his throws, what other touch did you think I was talking about?

I said this before the season began in regards to Thomas' passing ability, and I think everyone can now see the vast difference in your passing game when you have a quarterback who puts touch on his throws. Having been used to the fullback who throws rockets for so long, some of you may have forgotten the glory that is the touch pass.

Now, I am not saying that DT does not have an arm, it is very clear that he can whip that ball when he needs to, in some cases still adding a little too much mustard when all he needs is some relish, but I digress. As was evidenced primarily in the Stanford game, DT can really throw some nice passes. Take for instance the TD to DJ Davis, if that were Masoli throwing the ball it would've either been overthrown 10 feet over his head, or been a rocket 1-3 yards in front of DJ. The great thing about DT's pass in this case is that the ball had a great touch, while not lofting. DT managed to put just the right amount of mustard while keeping the pass clean and very catchable.

Has anyone else rejoiced in having a QB who knows how to throw the ball and not just a FB who can throw darts with the occasional touch pass that makes you wonder why he never threw more of them?(Looking at you 2009 vs Cal Masoli)
