Keep in mind of the Woodburn Outlet malls on Black Friday. You may want to factor the increase traffic in that area.

It also sounds like in increase in Oregon State Patrol, so be sure to drive safe. If you count on making it to Eugene at an average speed of 75-80, You might want to throttle it down a bit, and add a few more minutes to your trip.

Guess I’ll be taking 99E to Brooks and getting on the freeway there.

I hadn’t even thought about it – I think I might hop off the freeway on 99E as well and skirt the east side of Woodburn. I’m going to be cutting it close anyway, since I’ve got a houseful of people. Thanks Shufelt!

I drove up from Salem to Portland early this afternoon

and the southbound traffic on I5 was at a near standstill for a couple of miles north of the Woodburn exit.

I just got back to Eugene after spending Thanksgiving with my brother in Beaverton…the line to the outlet mall in Woodburn was ridiculous, the place was packed and traffic backed up way onto I-5. This on Thanksgiving night! What the hell, are people camping out in the parking lot or something?
Glad I drove down tonight so that I don’t have to deal with that tomorrow, if you can follow the advice above and sidestep Woodburn by taking 99.

We flew in from pa for the game – dude – forgot about Oregon drivers…. What is up with driving 62 in the left lane in a 65- holy effing road rage material – I felt lick I was in a senior citizen edition of GTA the whole way to huge ween! Pls ppl coffee up for the drive THEN booze up or smoke out not the other way around..thank god for the W!
