is there no mods on tis site?

why is 95% of the stories on here links to other peoples blogs? if you want to link your crap at least give us a discription. this is a forum for the oregon ducks, if you have something to add that you wrote just add it. i dont want a link toi your blog or website, if its good post it here and i will read it and then add in your sig your website, maybe you can get people to actually read your bs then, this site also offers the chance to add polls to your post. Can people just use the site and stop posting the same link to there blong, website, etc every day?

I think it’s fine for people to link to their blogs as long as they give a description of what they are linking to so people are prepared. I would much rather have that then regurgitated posts from other blogs filling up the fan posts.

People can’t FanPost here and then expect people to read the same thing on their blog. I don’t have a blog of my own because I write here. If it’s repeatedly bad writing, the mods will ask them to stop. But I like KillerBee’s stuff much of the time.

While I agree with giving more of a description, (If I don’t read a good description, I don’t read the article), I don’t mind if they link to their own blog as long as it is well written and not over advertised.

Pipgras, are you crying? There's no crying in Duck blogging.

Well OK, this week there actually has been a lot of crying. But for this? For having my own format and offering my picture of the Duck world to ATQ readers. I’m not competing against ATQ. On the contrary, I love ATQ. I love the creativity of all the readers, bloggers, writers, graphic artists and editors coming together.

But ATQ managers and editors can’t do it all. They can’t provide all the editing and formatting power for all contributors. But that’s OK. They’re offering a beautiful forum where all creative minds come together.

I come to ATQ to read everyone’s input. And the more creative the better. If they channeled their creativity into a whole different blog, what is wrong with that?

Pipgras, look in the upper left corner of your screen. See that left pointing arrow? That’s called a “return” arrow. You click on a link, go to someone elses site, read it, love it, hate it, whatever. Now hit that arrow. BOOM! You’re right back at ATQ.
Try it now….It’s real simple……Click the left arrow. BOOM…. There you are.

Also, if you’re really upset about going to someone else’s site, perhaps you need to stick with FanPosts and not FanShots.

In all fairness though, in the future I will be better about letting you know that you are leaving ATQ and going to Mad Duck. It’s a long trip and with gas prices these days, I know I can’t just expect you to go there without first fueling up, going potty and taking your recommended dosage with a full glass of water.

i have nothing against you or your blog, i was just annoyed that the 3 post i clicked on last friday all lead to something else with no real info on what i was being led too. some of us are on computers with limited access at work, so its nice to read something before going thru.

I understand how you feel. The other day I was trying to log on to my bank site, ended up on a site with a bunch of scantily clad babes. I was so bummed.

I’m committed to transparency, just like that site with the floosies.
