Haha, this might be a little random, but do any of you guys have Xbox Live? Always thought it would be fun to dominate some of you all in some Xbox now that I have mine back. Like I said, random, but I just thought it would be cool to know. Whether it's killing you with the zone read with Masoli (heh) and LGB on NCAA 10 or killing you in Modern Warfare 2...I'm down.

The price for me to play PS3/Wii is that I only play what my roommate buys
And since he’s got MLB 2010 The Show, Borderlands, NCAA Football 2009, Final Fantasy XIII, and Fallout 3 on PS3, I’m okay with that.

Exclusivity is a thing of the past when you’ve got FF XIII being released on the XBox and Bioshock being offered on the PS3 right now. Very few development studios will design a game only for one of the platforms, unless they like pissing money away down the drain.
You can have your “exclusivity”. I’ll have free online gaming, and oh ya…Blu Ray capabilities any day of the week!

Agreed on both fronts. 3D sucks and always will until they can find a way to do it without the lame 1950’s era glasses. It’s not new technology as long as you’re having to put those damn things on.
And Avatar sucked on so many fronts that I flat out refused to watch it at all. Spending alot of cash and taking years and years to film a movie doesn’t make it a classic in any regard.

Well… I never really argued it before, so…
I just look at the list of games for the 360 than I do for the PS3, and I see more games that look fun to me, personally. I still prefer playing any video game on the ol’ computer if I have a choice.
I’ll probably eventually buy a PS3 if I ever decide to watch Blu Ray. To me, the cost isn’t worth it right now. I think Blu Ray isn’t worth it the cost or effort to build a library of movies. In addition, I have found that it makes movies with low production qualities or heavy reliance on CG look bad because you can tell that it is filmed in a studio and/or against a blue screen. I usually stop enjoying a movie if I can’t suspend any disbelief. Then I have to resort to riffing.
Especially since I can stream 1080p movies on my 360.
Gran Turismo? I don’t care that much about racing. I’m not a car guy. And the God of War games look dumb/boring to me.
As a consumer, online gaming isn’t a draw for me, because I don’t have patience to deal with idiots with microphones, so I’m not interested in it.
I’m not into the xbox > playstation or vice versa debate. Like I said, when I see value and need for a blu ray player, I’ll get a PS3. As a consumer, I saw better value and entertainment from the 360 at that time. If people enjoy their PS3, good for them.

Sorry...didn't mean to offend with my earlier post.
The “again” comment was more of a knee-jerk reaction to 360 fanboys spouting that line for the last 3 years or so.
For me it’s all about the Blu Ray. I never would of gotten a PS3 if I didn’t have the ginormous HD display to go with it. I despise super crazy CGI kind of movies as well, but I’ve found that for more “realistic” action, Blu Ray is where it’s at.
Scenes like the landing at Omaha Beach in Saving Pvt. Ryan, the countless car chases through European cities in a movie like Ronin, all of the Band of Brothers series, the Bourne trilogy….all of that stuff looks incredible on my setup. I don’t have a very big library of movies either, but I do a fair amount of Netflix on Blu Ray when it’s available.

No offense taken. I assumed there was an endless debate between fanboys, but really – it isn’t anything I’ve taken part in. I don’t mean to rehash any points already made by other people.
I can see some CGI heavy stuff where the entire scene is rendered CG, but when live action actors are placed in a CG environment, it’s so obvious they are working with a blue screen.
I can see a lot of the movies/shows you mentioned being pretty awesome in a sweet setup that you have. I just don’t have the money or inclination to make that happen for me.

Forza is much better.
Hands down. Customization is better by leaps and bounds in Forza (the last Gran Turismo I owned was 4).

I’m not the biggest fan of the customization on GT4. I’m not a friggin race engineer, just gimme a car with the correct gear ratios for the track in question and lemme go. Since buying Modern Warfare 2 I’ve gone under a self-imposed ban on buying any new PS3 games until GT5 is released…looks like I’ll be waiting at least 9 more months :(

I actually disagree with the price comment
I prefer the exclusives on 360, but the price now that PS3 has dropped to 299 is actually a better overall deal, you don’t have to buy a wireless adapter ($99) or pay for live ($50) or buy a seperate blu-ray ($150+) Plus reliability on Sony seems to be better. This is coming from somebody that dropped crazy amounts of money on my 360, bought a PS3 off craiglist and worked at a video game store where I had to vehenoumsly defend microsoft until I continued to see people bringing in broken ones.

The 360 Arcade is $199, The 360 Elite is $299
I don’t need a wireless adapter, I plug in my ethernet directly
I don’t play games online.
I don’t care for blu-ray.
Reliability is a reasonable point, but I’ve seen PS3s crash pretty hard too.
For me, the price is better for the 360 still.

I think I got it.
