Dunigan to Israel is Official
Per team website (ht: Prehm):
Another new player is the young center Michael Dunigan (21, 2.09) who just finished two years in college and played for oregon. dunigan has a big potential and he signed for three years in the team. The center Sean Williams, who joined the team last week, released due to a ankle injury.
Its going to be a long year. But getting rid of guys who don't want to be here is one step closer to making things right again, even if the process will be long and painful.

Nothing about his decision...
makes sense to me. Starting center in the Pac ten is and always will be a better opportunity for exposure and the kind of development that a near seven-foot center needs to play in the NBA than…. Israel… Israel… really? If you’re a wing player, point guard, small forward or whatever then maybe overseas offers the kind of development you want, but not for a center.
Also, he mentioned how he wanted to go to a foreign country so he could start a business should basketball not work out. Well, a college degree sure won’t be helpful for that will it Mike… Ridiculous.
My main suspicion is that some slimeball agent got his ear and made some quick dough off his contract. My other slight suspicion is that Altman is not quite connecting with Ernie’s kids. If the latter it does really matter because it looks like Altman has to rebuild now rather than build off of anyway. Regardless, Matthew Knight Arena is not going to go off with a bang.
World Wide Wes
He got us the rest of the MidWest talent, why not Big Mike? He was top 25 out of HS.

Midwest to Oregon = Bad.
The faster we can get rid of all these midwesters, the better Oregon will be. I liked Dunigan and really hope he does well…but I can’t help be happy he was gone. Kent recruited the midwest religiously and it’s what contributed to the downfall of Oregon basketball. The best players Oregon’s had have come from the northwest. Malik Hairston could be argued…but on that same team, Aaron Brooks and Maarty Leunen were far better.

Altman will be fine
He got one of the big kids from Oregon.
PK said he was on the “ten year plan”
Altman will have plenty of time to get it right, with or without W.W.Wes.
GO DUCKS!!

Hey benzduck
get the microfiche machine warmed up. Oregon basketball is about to give you plenty of material to create the next “This Week In The Suffering”

The concept of TWITS is that we aren’t suffering in football any more.
I’m hard pressed to find a period of more than 2 years in duration since 1977 that we haven’t been suffering in hoops.
Ping me when we start having a Michigan State or Connecticut level of success on the hardcourt. At that point I’ll start compiling lists of Bob Fife’s greatest games.
Average Score Since 2004: Oregon 42 Washington 17

First half of the NM game + second half of UT game = 94-0.
And in the Yell-O corner, with a 2009 conference record of 8 wins, 1 loss...the REIGNING...DEFENDING...UNDISPUTED Champions of the PAC TEN...the Oregon Ducks!
