BILOXI (WLOX) - Ole Miss quarterback Jeremiah Masoli has been cleared by the NCAA to play immediately after winning an appeal Friday afternoon.
Masoli, who transferred to Ole Miss after he was dismissed from the Oregon program this summer, was ruled ineligible on Tuesday. But a decision by the NCAA Division I Subcommittee for Legislative Relief overturned that ruling today.
Nathan Stanley is expected to start for the Rebels against Jacksonville State, with Masoli serving as the backup.

Nutt more or less said on Dan Patrick the other day that Masoli would be the starter if his appeal goes through, or so I understood it. The player on the Dan Patrick website there is screwed up, but it sounds like if Masoli is cleared, he could start.
My yoke is heavy.
Good for Masoli.
I, for one, am glad to hear it. As much as his behavior disappointed me here, I am always happy to see somebody do well when given another chance to do right.
I used to do quack, I still do, but I used to too.
