The Barner Vs FBS Scoreboard: Week One
After Kenjon Barner's 30 point outburst against UNM, I thought it would be interesting to track the output of our scoring machine against that of other FBS teams.
In the hope that this will become a regular feature, here are the results from week 1...
Points Scored by Kenjon Barner: 30
Teams Outscored by Kenjon Barner This Season: 49

Total score?
Or score for a single game? In terms of when people will outscore Barner?

I’m assuming total score.

You assume correctly. I couldn’t quite figure out how to word it without making it a damn instruction manual. But it’s cumulative score, or points for the season, or total point output, or or or.
“How many teams will KjB outscore on the season? If none, when will the last team outscore him?”
Average Score Since 2004: Oregon 42 Washington 17
For comparison, last season, Toby Gerhart outscored 3 teams all by himself.
Gerhart had 172 points (28 TDs) in 2009.
As a team, San Jose St had 165 points. New Mexico State scored 149, and our beloved Washington State Cougars, 144.
(Gerhart did play one more game than SJS and Wazzu. But I’m not fair, and NMSU doesn’t have that excuse.)
Average Score Since 2004: Oregon 42 Washington 17
Yes, let’s all pretend that Wazzu would have scored 28 points against a bowl-eligible defense.
(Sorry, Brian. Nothing personal.)

I voted without thinking!
KB will keep scoring too. I guess I get to change my vote next week. This is awesome to think about!
Do we get to add LMJ separately too? I’m guessing that he could outscore a few teams as well.

Don't think you can change your vote.
And this is probably the only poll. Don’t worry, no fabulous prizes will be awarded.

It seems the ability to score touchdowns in mass quantities is not predictive of professional success. Sorry, Toby.

Yes
He looked very good against a totally overmatched New Mexico team. Anyone can run the ball behind such a good line.
