Hey guys, long time lurker here at ATQ so hopefully I won’t miss the curve by too much.
You may know that I have been a pretty big UCLA fan, and somewhat frequent contributor to Bruins Nation, so not applying to UCLA was basically an academic choice, as UCLA is more of a research based school more than anything, not to mention the UC system funded by lemonade stands now.
Anyways, I ended up doing a little PAC 10 research, and discovered UO. I basically fell in love, football and sports aside, I fell in love with the culture, majors, mindset, fanbase, Eugene itself... everything. So I applied, and (Financial Aid Pending) I should be enrolling at UO come fall.
The purpose of this post, however, was to ask if anyone had any tips for a FTF, or a “New Duck.” Any traditions, historic moments (Other than "The Pick,” which I have seen a couple of times here) tidbits, advice, anything for a newbie?
