James national player of the week
Oregon running back LaMichael James has been named the National Offensive Player of the Week by the the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
James rushed for 239 yards on 30 carries and a touchdown in the ninth-ranked Ducks 43-15 win over California on Thursday. It was James’ third consecutive 200-yard rushing effort for the Ducks.
James, the 2010 Doak Walker Award winner as the nation's best running back, also dislocated his elbow in that game and likely will be out at least a couple of weeks.

Yet he still is not getting any real Heisman push
Don’t get it. He is statistically bettering his video game numbers of 2010 at the same point in the season. He also has been a real threat as a receiver and a good returner to boot. The loss to LSU appears to be haunting every facet of the 2011 season. I hear all of the SEC fanboys snicker all the time that we would be lucky to be bowl eligible if we were in the SEC. Doesn’t matter that we delivered the worst loss to TN at Neyland in their entire history, or that we came within an eyelash of beating Auburn for the title last year. What matters to them is that we ended up losing to Auburn and then because of costly turnovers did the same against LSU.
