Do you like this story?

I want to see my whole lineup as its own separate newsfeed.
Having to click through every single blog/team I’m following is silly.
Addicted to Quack, #1 Oregon blog among female Duck fans, including the ageless and ever-radiant daisyduck.
Yeah having to do this kind of defeats the whole purpose of this app as it's not more efficient than going to to the mobile sites
Also
-Limited Commenting options
-As has been mentioned the ability to go landscape would be great
-Do comments get updated realtime?
Comments
are basic read and reply for this release. We have plans to enhance and update them in future releases.
As for your Lineup in a separate feed… the teams, blogs and sports you add to your Lineup show up in the main Newsfeed along with SBNation, Baseball Nation and MMA Nation news.
Having the option to just see your Lineup is a great feedback. Thanks!

Android at the end of the year?
Is iphone that much more popular, or is it that much easier to make an app?

No, Android is the most popular mobile OS in the world. So, yeah, not really sure why you’d start with the iPhone. Maybe two years ago, but not now.

I think there are more iPhones in the wild right now than Android phones.
This is based on statistics that I just made up but sound right.

I like the wild iPhones better than the domesticated ones.
A little unpredictable, but tastier and healthier for you.

This statement is only true if you look at Android globally. In the US, iPhone is still holding near the top over Android based phones, and is expected to increase with iPhone 5 launch. The numbers really start to get murky though when you factor in tablets and then start comparing US specific to global market share. Its also a constant moving target.

But this is just based on sales.
Assuming most phones are kept for around two years, I’m thinking there are a lot more iPhones in the world as of now than android.. This is bound to change of course.

Why iOS?
When we decided to create a mobile app for SB Nation, Android usage was growing rapidly, but iOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad) users were a larger segment of our mobile web audience. As of today, they are almost even. Our plan was to pick one (the largest at the time) and figure out what the application should be, refine it based on feedback and metrics and then move on to other platforms, with Android being next in line. And rather than creating both at the same time, we wanted to focus more on the application design than trying to build it for two platforms.

It’s nice, but kind of basic. Right now not much more than the ability to read the Stories without all of the widgets slowing things down. (Which is a welcome thing.)
Geaux Tigers! Go Ducks! (No, I don't care.) Go Braves, and most of all WHO DAT!
Also, other than the promised iPad-ness and enhanced commenting, there are three “It could be better” comments I have. On the Lineup tab:
- As Tako said, it would be nice to have the whole thing integrated into one feed.
- It would be cool to have the same “X Stories” thing alerting you to new stories that’s at the top of the webpage. (And, for that matter, alerts/badges for them.)
- After adding NCAA basketball and football team from the same school, you can’t tell them apart; both just say “Oregon Ducks.”

You could send the e-mail too. I’ve been told that the tech team will be reading these comments.

Yes, we are!
Great feedback in the comments section. Thanks.
This is just the beginning. In addition to making an Android version of the app, we have plans to enhance and update the app.
Where to begin?
No landscape. I can’t type in portrait mode. My fingers are too fat.
If there’s a way to get to the FanPosts or FanShots I haven’t found it yet.
Font is too small and can’t be embiggened.
Can’t zoom in.
I don’t want to jump from a different app to Safari when I click on a link. Major PIA.
NEED A BOTTOM OF PAGE BUTTON. And an equivalent of the Z key.
I might pay for an app that was usable. This is just techsterbation. “Ooh, let’s make an app for it!”
The "Beano Cook" of ATQ.
Fan Posts and Fan Shots
Definitely missing, and a very big problem. Glad I did not have to pay anything for this, it adds nothing.
Well did you hear, there's a natural order?
Those most deserving will end up with the most?
That the cream cannot help but always rise up to the top,
Well I say,... "Shit floats."
As relevant as ever.
It’s sounding less to me like techsterbation, and more like “open beta” in the Google sense where the first release is a product that is missing many of the key features that will eventually be there.

First release
We’re fully aware that the app does not have some important features like Fan shots anf Fan posts, along with robust comment functionality.
There are no plans to stop working on the app. This is beyond exciting to us to roll something out and continue working on it. We wanted to give something to the SBN community and then get feedback and comments and then update the app accordingly.
In addition to iPhone app updates, it’s also a top priority for us to get the Android version out by the end of the year.
Keep the feedback coming. Thanks!

Why in the world would you roll out something that has less functionality than the m site?
… No fanshots, fanposts, or widgets is ridiculous. Not integrating with my profile and creating a single feed from my existing favorites I an obvious miss. Not sending users to the bottom of the comments (or at least to the spot they commented previously) after a reply is going to make game threads a bitch.
This app is basically a commercial for razor blades.

Agree
It’s worthless – offers no value over what I can already do on the mobile site.

Even though I can’t use your app because I’m on Android, I just want to say thanks for putting this out, working on making an SBNation apps, and being active with your communication and responding to the feedback.
