If I told you that Oregon ran a formation last year that nobody noticed or reported on, and it contained THREE tailbacks--would you believe it? As bizarre as it sounds, it does make sense for those who understand how Coach Kelly wants to get his best talent, especially the speed guys, on the field as much as possible. As you contemplate the implications it occurs to you the ton of potential of such a matchup for Pac-12 defenses, and you admire just how clever it is. I could have stayed up all night and not thought of it!
We DID have two tailbacks playing in the backfield at the same time 22 years ago, and one of them was a tremendous track and football athlete in Latin Berry.
