I have lived here in KC for 4 years now and like when I moved here I still hate the big 12 with all my heart. That being said I do not often listen to sports radio here, although today I have made an exception, besides it was great to hear the excuses about the Chefs. These guys have finally pulled their head out of the sand and are thinking about coming to grips with the dissolving big 12. Living in this market the large concern is over KU and K State as 15 and 16. Is this possible? They seem to fit the right requirements, except no one here likes the west coast and does not want to be lumped in with a bunch of hippies. Also they believe the west coast would kill their television market, although there is not much of that to begin with at least for KU and K State. Talk about them rather going to the Big East. I get that it is fluid, but it is panic mode here.
Do we want these guys? I say yes slim pickings after them, but then there is talk about no more north-south or east-west divisions rather a big jumble like the big 10. Just some thoughts, and I love these guys trying to piece their would together.
