The No.3 University of Oregon Ducks Volleyball team (18-1, 9-1 Pac-12) defeated the Arizona St. Sun Devils (14-9, 3-7 Pac-12) in Tempe on Saturday night, 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-20)
The Ducks led 16-15 midway through the first set when Erica Wilson from Arizona St. had a critical service error, turning the momentum over Oregon. Haley Jacob had two aces late in the set to help seal the opening set win for Oregon, 25-15.
The second set was tight the entire way but Oregon's blocking ability and Arizona State's attacking errors made the difference. The Ducks were able to get 2 straight points, one on a Sun Devil service error and the other on a key block to take the set 25-23.
Through steady and aggressive play, Oregon was able to win the third set 25-20. Liz Brenner had 13 kills in the match and Lauren Plum contributed 40 assists in the victory.
Next up for Oregon: Colorado in Boulder on Friday, October 26th @ 6pm PST on the Pac-12 Network.
