It couldn't last forever.
Oregon's winning streak came crashing to a halt as they lost to Illinois 2-1. The pitching was great, as Alex Keudell gave up only six hits and two runs over eight innngs. The problem was the offense, as Oregon managed only one run and four hits the entire game off Illini starter Kevin Johnson. The one run and four hits both marked season lows for an offense that had been putting up plenty of both.
The Ducks have a chance to start a new winning steak with a doubleheader today. They play West Virginia, who went down 11-0 at Oregon State yesterday, at 3:00 PM while taking on #22 Oklahoma at 7:00.
