The run continues.
Closer Jimmie Sherfy blew a 2-1 lead in the 9th inning, but once again Vernell Warren was able to score the winning run, this time in the bottom of the 13th.
The Ducks got the scoring started early with Ryon Healy driving in Aaron Payne in the first for the 1-0 lead. Oregon tacked on another in the second as Scott Heineman and Brett Hambright hit back to back doubles.
Warren, the former track star who scored the winning run as a pinch runner last night, led off the bottom of the 13 with a single and was awarded second on a Dirtbag balk. He then scored on Kyle Garlick's RBI single.
Freshman righty Jake Reed had his third consecutive quality start to begin his college career, going 7 1/3, giving up just one run, five hits, and only one walk. Sherfy came in and blew the lead in the 9th, making up for it by going 5 2/3 of one run baseball while striking out eight for the win.
Oregon goes for another sweep noon Sunday at PK Park. Brando Tessar (2-0, 3.86) is on the hill for the Ducks, while the Dirtbags counter with Shawn Stuart (1-0, 4.91).
