Hi, I'm new to Addicted To Quack, and well, Collegiate Sports in general. I'm a writer on SB Nations Revenge of the Birds, so I decided I would finally jump on board with Collegiate Sports, Football in general. So if there is anything I can fix let me know. So... Here's what I think of the Ducks Football season.
Defense: There shouldn't be a lot of trouble here. Oregon has one of the best Linebacking corps in the nation, with Michael Clay, Kiko Alonso, and Boseko Lokombo. We have 6 defensive lineman returning from last season, and we can add Arik Armmstead to the DL. The secondary is loaded with Safety John Boyett returning to start his 4th year and 3 returning Corners. Chip Kelly wants to play up to 25 guys on Defense, which will require us to build depth.
Overall: It will come down to USC or Oregon to play in the National Championship game. If the Ducks beat USC, look for us to make it to the Championship game, if not then we'll make the Rose Bowl for the second year. We have a soft non-league schedule which could help whomever wins our QB role prepare for the Pac-12 season.
