Multiple outlets are reporting that Oregon received a commitment from Offensive Guard, Alex Redmond this afternoon. Redmond hails from Los Alamitos, California and had seen his stock rise over the last month. At 6'5, 290 lbs he has great size and is likely being brought in to anchor the interior part of the offensive line. For fans and pundits who think size has been an issue for Oregon across the lines, this is a great pickup. 247sports reported that Redmond had this to say after his commitment: "Oregon is the best fit for me," Redmond said. "I prayed about it and it just made sense to me. I just loved the feel and attention to detail. They even make a shake just for me based on what I need as an athlete." Redmond is Oregon's eighth commitment for the 2013 class, and fifth commitment in the last two weeks.
