Moseley: Josh Huff's DUII trial pushed back to January 23rd
Interesting news this afternoon as Rob Moseley of the Register Guard is reporting that Josh Huff's trial for a DUII arrest last March has been pushed back to January 23rd. Sounds like there are multiple issues that make the incident more complicated than a typical DUII case. Huff has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge. It's unclear how the ongoing case will affect Huff's eligibility this fall, though the athletic department has yet to levy any discipline. Huff was Oregon's leading receiver last year and figures to be an even bigger part of the offense this year now that he is fully healthy. In an interview with Dan Rubenstein of Solid Verbal, Chip Kelly indicated that Huff was one of several players he expects to use in a hybrid WR/RB role this year.
