Oregon guard Carson York out for the season with knee injury

Stay connected for news and updates

The injury news just keeps getting worse:

York is a three-year starter, and the leader of Oregon's offensive line. He came out of the Fresno State game after breaking his knee cap, an injury for which he's having surgery tomorrow. Veterans Ryan Clanton and Jake Fisher, as well as newcomers Tyler Johnstone and Kyle Long have also missed time on the offensive line due to injury on the young season. Obviously, we wish York well in his surgery and recovery, and feel terrible for him after the arduous recovery process following his Rose Bowl injury.

Along with safety John Boyett, this makes two of Oregon's senior leaders already out for the season with injury. We've heard a lot about the Ducks' depth. We're now going to see it get a major test.
