Sorry BenzDuck. The Court of Public Opinion has just mandated that the Avezzano Cup be permanently suspended upon the recent and horrifying news regarding the tragic massacre in the San Joaquin Valley. And as shitacular as your contestants may be, we at least saw how bad they were. Conversely, we were all not witnesses to this event for good reason. It was that brutal.
Of course, I am referring to Colorado.
I refuse to believe, on any grounds, that the 2008 Huskies (let's be honest, if they're not the champs losers who is?) would...as bad as they were, and I know they were bad...even they would fail to fail against the 2012 Puffs. And boy, could they ever fail.
Were the Huskies ever down by 35 points in the first quarter? Did they lose to an FCS school? Hell, did they even lose to a non-BCS school (outside of ranked BYU)? Shit, were they ever down 55-7? AT HALF?
Convince me that I'm wrong, BenzDuck. Convince me that the Avezzano Cup - while noble in your intention - was not the slightest bit premature. I mean, I've seen all the teams you mention play. And all of those teams, while so repulsive they could scare the flies off a shit wagon, could deliver the rock to their own endzone ten times over, on purpose, and still beat Colorado.
But of course, I kid. Go ahead and finish the Cup. It's hilarious, and filled with Schadenfreude. And I love it. Ultimately, there is no winner, and only losers... (except vs. 2012 Colorado).
