We are lucky, Ducks fans. We have two very talented, young QB's, both of which look capable running our offense. As soon as BB decided to stick around after not winning the starting job, I started to think that he was simply too talented to keep on the bench as a backup, and it seems like Chipper agrees, as evidenced in last week's game against Arizona.
But subbing in BB to run a few read-option plays is only the tip of the iceberg. Check out this video of Louisiana-Monroe's use of their two QBs. And now imagine the havoc the Ducks could wreak with BB + MM on the field at the same time.
Dear Chipper: please do this!
What do you think - any chance we see a formation like this with both QBs in the backfield? Or is the risk of injury too high?
