Ducks Warm Up against USC - Jake Tabor/ATQ

A brief preview and open thread

The Ducks face off against USC after their comeback bid fell short against UCLA. USC on the other hand squeaked by the Oregon State Beavers on Friday with a 56-55 win in Gill Coliseum. Alexyz Vaioletama will be making her first start after downing the Beavs with her buzzer beater. The women of Troy are lead by Junior forward Cassie Harberts who has been in double figures every game this season and had a season high 27 against the Beavers.

The Women of Troy have been a bit of a mixed bag this year and the win against OSU snapped a span in which USC lost 7 of 8 including loses to Nebraska, Duke and Texas A&M who were all in the top 25 at the time.

Meanwhile, the Ducks are still reeling after another loss. They hope to even up their Pac-12 record against the Women of Troy and are lead by Jillian Alleyne and Ariel Thomas. It will be interesting to see if the Ducks can "stop the bleeding" on the glass as coach Westhead put it Friday night.
