The 15-3 and 11th ranked Oregon Ducks will take on the 16-4 and 15th ranked Arizona Wildcats at 7:30 tonight at Matthew Knight. Oregon is coming off a win against USC last Friday in Los Angeles. For the Wildcats, their last match was a loss on Friday to the Washington Huskies.
The Ducks were perfect in their out-of-conference schedule, but since entering Pac 12 play, have hit a rough patch. WIth recent losses to Stanford, Washington, and UCLA, they're looking to bounce back and gain momentum as they navigate through the remainder of their schedule. In their win over the Trojans; Liz Brenner led the team in kills with 16. Shellsy Ashen led all with 28 assists and Ashley Benson led digs, with 21.
Oregon key players:
Martenne Bettendorf has been crucial in the Ducks success this season. She leads the team in kills (3.29) per set and is hitting .335, and her numbers in conference play have been even more impressive. Kacey Nady has the best hitting percentage in the Pac 12 at .435 and is averaging 2.52 kills per set. Liz Brenner has not only dominated on offense, but on defense as well. She's had double-digit digs in 16 of 18 matches.
Arizona key players: Their seniors are without a doubt the anchor of this team. All-American outside hitter, Madi Kingdon, libero Ronni Lewis, middle blocker Rachel Rhoades, and outside hitter Taylor Arizobal round out the key contributors.
