The 6-0 and 18th ranked Ducks are taking on the Michigan State Spartans this evening at Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks are coming off of a win against New Mexico in which they won 3-1 this past Saturday at Matthew Knight.
Michigan State are 4-2 on the season thus far and are coming off consecutive losses to Tobacco Road powerhouses North Carolina and Duke. Despite their mishaps, the Spartans are currently ranked 23rd.
Last year was the first time these two sides ever met in volleyball. The Spartans defeated the Ducks 3-1 in East Lansing. Those same Spartans ended up advancing to the Sweet Sixteen last year.
Key Players: For Michigan State, Allyssah Fitterer leads the team in kills and has been their standout player thus far in the season.
