Dwayne Benjamin joining the Oregon Ducks football team went from a rumor to confirmed news in just a matter of days.
The 6-7 former forward is now a wide receiver after completing his senior season with the basketball team. Now, he's gone through his first spring football practice, and calls the whole experience a dream come true:

"It's something I always wanted to do," he says. "I've played my whole life. This is my first sport, the only thing I really did growing up. Like I said it's a dream come true and the whole time I was here, the whole time in junior college I was thinking 'should I should play football again.' I had the opportunity, so I took it."
The Louisiana native attracted interest from LSU's football team coming out of high school, but opted for basketball and Oregon instead.
