Moving On: Its Hoops Season

Well, the hoops season is off to a good start, albeit against less than stellar competition.  Despite Malik Hairston missing the first two games, the Ducks are 2-0 with wins over Lehigh and Cal State-Northridge.  The surprise has been the play of freshman guard Tajuan Porter.  The 5'6" point guard has gone for 27 and 28 points in his first two games.  Pretty impressive against any competition, especially for a freshman.

The Ducks take on Portland State tonight and will look to avenge last years loss to the Vikings.  Its the first TV game of the year, so here is many Duck fans' first shot to see Porter play.  Game is at three on the Oregon Sports Network.
