Shocker, shocker, the Ducks blew out Bethune-Cookman 92-64 Monday at Mac Court. However, this game was big for two reasons:
After sitting out the first seven games, Churchill Odia made his Oregon debut. 9 points and five assists in seventeen minutes is pretty good. He's 6-6 and gives us a legit tall point guard. Hopefully he'll firmly plant himself into the rotation by Pac-10s and give us a chance to rest some of the other guys a bit.
Also big is that Joevan Catron finally put a decent offensive game together. He had fifteen points, making all six of his field goals. It would be nice if this could serve as a springboard for the rest of the season.
Eastern Washington up next on Friday.
GO DUCKS!!!
