OK, not a lot of new stuff out this morning, but I did find a couple of interesting things.
First, if you haven't made your weekly picks in the jersey contest, do so here.
First, Moseley blogs about the mid-week bumps and bruises. Of note, Stewart and Pflugrad were both left practice early, though neither should affect their game status for Saturday. D. Jones also missed practice for personal reasons. You know what are first and second string WR lineup was? How about Williams-Strong-Cavaille and Davis-Barkley-Scott. Ugh. Moseley also blogs about the new helmets, though in his later post (linked above) Bellotti mentioned that the players would have the ultimate decision on whether the helmets debuted against UW. Moseley includes some pics, so check it out.
In today's Oregonian, John Hunt talks with some of the Ducks who have never visited Husky stadium. Similar to what we have heard from the Husky players who are not from the pacific northwest, many had no idea of the rivalry. Saturday ought to be an eye opening experience.
And, in the Seattle P-I, there's an article on Jonathan Stewart making his first, and only, trip to Husky stadium. The article writes that Stewart has hinted in the past that if Willingham had been the UW coach sooner, he might not be a Duck.
Tuesday's Daily Emerald has a piece on Voogd joining the basketball team. Voogd has to sit out this year after transferring, but sounds excited to be back in Oregon. It's always nice to see Oregon kids play in-state.
Also in basketball "news", nbadraft.net has mock draft up and three Ducks are taken in the top 60. They have Taylor going #22 to Toronto, Hairston going #56 to Houston and Leunen going #60 to Dallas.
And, could it really be Husky week without seeing this clip?
