A couple of interesting notes in the Register Guard today. First, is that Dennis Dixon will be the #1 QB heading into spring practice. Not sure how I feel about our QB situation. Before last season, I was really excited about Dixon and his potential. But, with only one season of eligibility left, that potential has to manifest itself immediately. I just don't know if Dixon has enough time left.
The other note, which I had not seen mentioned anywhere yet is that Jackie Bates has been reinstated to the team. If you remember, he suffered a season-ending injury early on last year, and then was suspended indefinitely for "conduct detrimental to the team". As long as this episode is in the past, this will sure help the Ducks' depth at secondary.
