I'm still getting back into the swing of things, and forgot to take notes like I normally would when I plan on breaking down a game for the blog. But I do know this: when you shoot 83% from the field in the second half, nobody is going to beat you. We were laying in the weeds for about eight minutes, then TP went off for three 3s in a row, and it was game over right there. Oregon had landed three uppercuts, and, while Arizona staggered through the remaining rounds, they were never able to mount a serious offensive. And this time, we closed it out strong. We are playing better every game, and find ourselves in a scary place......
We are squarely on the bubble.
Hell, if you would have told me three weeks ago that we'd be on the bubble right now, I'd be ecstatic. But now I smell blood. I want to seal this deal. A win in the Pac-10 tourney against a very good WSU team could do just that. And, in fact, my general sense is that, in reality, we need that win to have a real shot at this thing. And, at this point, nothing would surprise me. We could get blown out by WSU. Or we could take the tourney title. And I wouldn't be shocked either way.
All I know is that I'm not ready for the season to end. And, while die-hards like me would watch the NIT, we all know that's not what we want.
The Cougs have beaten us twice. Both were close. The Cougs have little to gain. We have everything.
Make it happen.
GO DUCKS!!!!
