It's a quiet Monday around Duckland, but here's the quack that is floating around:
- Yahoo has a profile on Patrick Chung, the youngest fifth-year senior in the draft, and Rulon Davis, who could be the oldest player selected at 25. Good luck to Patrick in the draft!
- The rainout on Sunday did not dampen the spirits of the baseball team. With Horton leading the charge, the team is full of confidence and enthusiasm. It should be exciting to watch the team grow over the rest of this year, and the next few.
- The final (regular season) Civil War basketball game is this week, and it should be fun. Luckily, the basketball team doesn't have any pressure, though they sound like they will be ready and workmanlike. If the team plays with the passion they had against Stanford, I like their chances.
- Lastly, a Corvallis writer makes the point that the NCAA rules committee shouldn't be concerned with celebration, but with taunting. I think this is a very important distinction to make, and one that is often overlooked. Stricter rules against taunting would not be problematic, though against celebration in general would get very cumbersome quickly.
Leave any more quack in the comments. GO DUCKS!
