Recap: Oregon vs. Arizona

I really don't know what to say. This team just cannot put together a full game. And even then, a "good" half is one where they are within a few points.

The key to this team, is that they do not do any single thing well. They don't rebound well (because they apparently have never heard of boxing out). They don't shoot well. They don't run any offense. They don't play defense. When things get tough, there isn't anything that they can lean on. And because of that, when they get down by a few, they are unable to make a run. When they are down by 10, that's the game. They are unable to come back from that.

At this point, I'm looking for progress, and I'm seeing very little. It's the same thing over and over, and the team only gets worse after halftime, which is inexusable for multiple games in a row.

I've never been a "fire the coach!" type of person. But at this point, we're looking at an 0-18 Pac-10 season. I like Ernie Kent on a personal level. But if this team can't show marked improvement over the next few games, he does not deserve the job as head coach of the Oregon basketball team. This isn't just poor play. This is incredibly poor coaching. And as much as I hate to say it, it can't be allowed.
