Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. My name is dvieira. I come from a rough area. I used to be addicted to quack, but now I'm off and trying to stay clean. That is why I'm selling magazine subscriptions and I was hoping that you could help me out by reading the following notes and commenting in the comments section. Bah, who am I kidding. Quack for everyone!
- John Hunt has interesting article discussing Justin Roper's reasons for transferring. Roper explains that he started thinking about it towards the end of the 2008 season. Originally from Georgia, he would ideally want to move back there to be close to family. Jtlight will have more about Justin Roper and the impact his decision will have on the program later today.
- The Chris Harper decision to transfer is making waves all over the place. Goducks.com has the official release. The best piece is by the always great Rob Moseley, who handles both the specifics of the release, as well as the supposed program upheavel. Ever the voice of reason, ATQ was telling us all to take deep breaths about this yesterday.
- Chip Kelly is talking about the departures in the program but doesn't sound too worried. "I'm a wily, experienced veteran when it comes to losing quarterbacks" - Chip Kelly
- The University of Oregon Athletic Department announced its annual Student-Athlete Awards on Tuesday. The awards were voted on by UO administrators and support staff.
- In the neverending effort by bloggers to fill content during late Spring and early Summer, Ted Miller of ESPN has an article up discussing the areas of need Pac-10 teams face heading into Summer. Any guesses what it might be? I'll give you a hint...It starts with "O" and ends with "dash line"
- The Oregon Ducks baseball season is mercifully over. I know we didn't expect much this season but the results were not pretty.
- Rivals.com post spring power rankings is up for your fun and amusement. Masoli comes in at #12 among QBs. For Running Backs, check out this from the Pac-10: #1 Jahvid Best, #4 Jacquizz Rodgers, #5 LaGarrette Blount, #10 Toby Gerhart, #21 Nicolas Grigsby. The Pac-10 should be dominating people on the ground this year.
It wasn't much, but it should get you through the day. As always, post any links you find in the comments.
GO DUCKS!
