Quack Fix: 2010 Ducks Will Be Older, Wiser; Oregon To Honor Hoops Legends.

All eyes will be back on college football for the final time this season as Alabama and Texas play for that cool crystal football. Closer to home, our supply of Quack is a little sparse. My evidence: Ted Miller Oregon's reference in yesterday's Pac-10 notes was Mike Bellotti's knee surgery, and Rob Moseley was asking people if they got pick-pocketed at the Rose Bowl.

  • The most common theme - outside recruiting during the next month - for Oregon football will be that the Ducks are loaded with the kind of personnel that should put them in the national title discussion next season. Rob Moseley writes that next year's team will be both older and wiser.
  • In case you missed the pick-pocket flap, here is Jack Moran's article recounting the rash of incidents.
  • Now that Oregon's campus features a finely polished academic center for student athletes, Ron Bellamy says the success of the John E. Jaqua Center will be measured by recruiting battles won and improvements in Oregon's graduation rates.
  • Oregon's Matt Humphrey is back to practicing, though still limited following knee surgery in late November. Joevan Catron remains out with a sore back.
  • Oregon basketball will be honoring past legends of Mac Court throughout the 2010 season. John Hunt of the Oregonian published this list. First up is the jersey retirement for Terrell Brandon during the Civil War game with the Beavers.
  • Speaking of Saturday's Civil War... Momentum is clearly with the Ducks. Oregon is on a 6-game win streak following the surprising road sweep in Washington last weekend. The Beavers? Well, in case you missed it, they got beat by 51 points last Seattle University.
  • We'll be continually keeping an eye out for breaking news on the recruiting front. Be sure to share in the comments or with a Fan Post if you stumble on to a nugget.
