Quack Fix: Baseball loses a Heartbreaker, Softball in the NCAAs, Planet of the Apes

If I'm not back in 5 minutes with your quack...wait longer!

  • Baseball lost to the Huskies last night, 13-11, when Chase Anselment hit a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 11th inning. The loss snapped a five game winning streak but also continued a 4 game losing streak in conference. Baseball continues from Seattle starting at 2pm PST.
  • Softball picked up 1-0 win in the opening round of the NCAA regionals, beating Auburn 1-0. The Ducks take on host school Georgia Tech starting at 9am PST which will be aired on ESPN. If you have Comcast or another authorized provider, you can watch the game on ESPN3.
  • This was mentioned yesterday but Scott Wolf of Inside USC predicts that Jeremiah Masoli will be reinstated by October. I don't have the words.
  • A prequel has been announced for the movie "Planet of the Apes" starting James Franco.

Not a whole lot of quack today. Feel free to talk about softball and baseball in this thread. Getting a couple of wins today would be pretty big! Go Ducks!
