We were so busy celebrating the US advance in the World Cup, that we forgot about the quack. Doesn't look like we missed much. Here's your quack. Use it wisely:
- Larry Scott spoke to Jon Wilner on conference expansion, and the timeline moving forward. It looks like the division split will be discussed at meetings near the end of July, though not finalized for a few more months. Though Scott does give an indication that some middle ground will be reached, stating, "Everyone is potentially concerned about not playing the Southern California schools every year. Granted, I was a history major, not a math major, but I haven’t figured out how how everyone can play the Southern California schools every year in a 12-team league. But everyone recognizes that there are trade-offs to the division structure."
- We all know that Jim Radcliffe is one of the unsung heros of the Oregon Athletic Department. Ted Miller takes a look at Pac-10 strength coaches in a blog post from earlier today. Radcliffe is easily the most experienced of the bunch, having been on the Oregon staff for 25 years.
- While the Oregon couldn't bring home a track & field championship, Ashton Eaton and Andrew Wheating were named to the final ten of The Bowerman watch list. The Bowerman is given the top athlete in track & field.
- Lastly, GoDucks.tv has some video of on-campus construction, with updates on the Autzen turf installation, as well as Matthew Knight Arena.
Don't be selfish with the quack! Leave some below. GO DUCKS!
