[UPDATE] LaMichael James is denying this report, but for his own sake, I hope he enters the draft. There's not much left for him to prove at Oregon.
This should come as absolutely no surprise, but according to Aaron Fentress of the Oregonian, LaMichael James will enter the 2012 NFL draft and forgo his final year of eligibility.
LaMichael will leave Oregon as, without a doubt, the best back in school history. He has set the rushing records for most yards in a game, season, and career, and is Oregon's career scoring leader. He was Oregon's first unanimous All-American and Doak Walker award winner, leading the nation in rushing two years in a row. He is currently 3rd in conference history in rushing yards. We were lucky to get a third season, though it was derailed a bit by injury, keeping him to only 1646 rushing yards
LaMichael has one more task in front of him, to lead the Ducks to a Rose Bowl win. We were lucky to be able to watch him for three years, and lead some of the most exciting offenses in school history.
Thank you LaMichael, and good luck at the next level.
