Quack Fix: Matt Barkley, Miami Heat, basketball attendance woes

  • You may have heard that Matt Barkley is returning to USC for his senior season, and that consequently, the Trojans have already won the 2012 Pac-12 and National Titles. Oregon has always played well as the underdog, and this should keep the team motivated despite three straight conference titles.
  • Mens basketball won their third game in three nights, beating Stephen F. Austin 55-45. This team barely beats the bad teams, and gets crushed by the good ones. However, unlike the rest of the conference, they don't have any terrible losses. Oregon opens conference play on Thursday at Washington State. In the meantime, Bob Clark wonders if the parking situation is keeping fans out of Matthew Knight Arena. I'd say its probably the product on the floor, Bob.
  • Miami Heat coach Erik Spolestra spent the offseason talking with Chip Kelly, and is trying to implement the philosophies of his offense into the NBA. While I'm interested in how this experiment plays out, I'm not about to wish success on the Heat. In more important NBA news, the Blazers open December 26 against Philadelphia.

Its a slow morning for quack, and thats about all I can find. Stay tuned after the jump for some videos. In the meantime, I want to wish safe travels to all those ATQers who will be traveling for the holidays.
