National Signing Day 2011: Oregon receives 22 LOIs, waits on De'Anthony Thomas' decision

[UPDATE 10:15am] It was a fairly eventful morning for the Oregon Ducks. After picking up a commitment from OT Jake Fisher, they lost DE Roderick Byers to Clemson as his dream school offered him at the last minute. The Ducks also missed out on DT prospects Delvon Simmons and Christian Heyward.

But reports are coming in that the Ducks have received 22 letters of intent. The only expected letter of intent that is not in is Jerrard Randall, who will need to retake the SAT so that he can be admitted to the school.

The Ducks are still waiting on 5-star athlete De'Anthony Thomas' decision, which will be announced later tonight.

For now, the Ducks have signed one of the best classes in school history, which addressed a number of Oregon needs, and added even more depth for the Ducks.

[ORIGINAL POST] It's not quite as an exciting a day for Duck fans as Chip Kelly does not release the names of signed players as they come in, but we have a few big events to look forward to.

4-star DT Delvon Simmons is set to announce at 8:20am this morning at a ceremony at his high school.
[UPDATE] Simmons signs with UNC.

4-star DT Christian Heyward will announce at 8:30am this morning.
[UPDATE] Heyward signs with USC.

5-star ATH De'Anthony Thomas is expected to announce his school at 7pm today at his high school.

Should be a fun day of waiting and watching Ducks fan. Leave any comments below. You'll find the latest rumors (including which LOIs are in) in the comments, and we'll be updating with breaking news.
