Happy Memorial Day everyone. I hope that you're having a better weekend than JR Hildebrand and Jim Tressel. It's been a pretty eventful weekend, so let's get to the quack.
- Oregon baseball swept the Beavers over the weekend. It was a great series for the Ducks, and Kris has been on top of things all weekend. We should know about the Ducks' slim postseason hopes soon. Let's just leave it with this. Oregon has only lost to Oregon State twice this school year. A women's basketball game, and a soccer game. The Ducks have won every other matchup.
- The Oregon women's track and field team qualified 13 individuals and two relay teams for the NCAA Track and Field championships. Though they had a few injury problems, the 3rd ranked Ducks look to compete for another title. The Oregon men will send 11 to the championships, but are likely not going to be in play for a championship. But they already achieved and brought home a Pac-10 title. Ken Goe has had great track coverage all year, so check out his run-down for more info on the Ducks.
- Oregon freshman linebacker Tyson Coleman had a good weekend, until he ran into the police, and then he made some very bad decisions. He was stopped after carrying an unopened can of Four Loko, then proceeded to throw the can and run from the police after he couldn't produce identification. While this wasn't the smartest move by Coleman, it's tough to get too worked up about this. Chip Kelly is "deeply concerned," but I don't imagine will see anything more than internal punishment.
- It wasn't the best weekend for Oregon softball. In their Super Regional against Florida, the Ducks got mercy-ruled on Friday, and then lost 7-0 on Saturday to end their season.
If you find any other quack, leave it below. Have a great day, and make sure to think about those who have given everything to preserve our freedom.
