The recruitment of star running back Thomas Tyner just opened up. One of the top RBs in the country, from Aloha, Tyner has already rushed for 2328 yards and 29 touchdowns this season, and after overcoming rumors that he was not durable, has decided to open up his recruitment and take his official visit, according to Duck Territory.
On his twitter Tyner stated: "How do I know where I'm truly happy if I haven't put myself out there yet? Still love my ducks. Gotta do what I gotta do."
Before Duck fans start to panic, the Ducks are still in this and Oregon has as good a shot as anyone to land Tyner in February. And unlike when Oregon got De'Anthony Thomas from USC, the coaching staff is well aware of this, and will be able to continue to recruit Tyner.
Lastly, good luck to Thomas during this process. Picking a college is the most important decision that he'll make in his life up to him, and he needs to make sure he's making the right decision. I'm sure the coaching staff wants the same thing, if he does end up at Oregon, there are no lingering doubts. GO DUCKS!
