Oregon picked up a much needed commitment today from junior college shooting guard, Devon Branch. Branch is a 6'6 guard/forward combo who was also being heavily recruited by Maryland, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M and Wichita State. He has great length and is a good slasher who plays well above the rim. Jucorecruiting.com reports that he had averages of 20 points and 5.4 rebounds at Cloud County community college this year, and showed great efficiency by shooting 55% from the field, including 50% from three-point range. Branch has two years of eligibility remaining for the Ducks.
Oregon is now up to four commitments for the 2012 class, and has its sights set on adding one or two more players before all is said and done. JUCO guard Keon Pledger recently visited the Ducks and stud power forward Anthony Bennett is said to have an official visit to Oregon soon.
