Zoe Buckman represents Australia in this summer's Olympic Games after a stellar Oregon career competing in track and cross country. Buckman came to Oregon after a stellar high school career in Australia, where she was the national junior champion in the 800 and the runner up in the 1500. Enrolling at Oregon for the 2007 spring track season, she competed in both track and cross country, becoming one of Oregon's most decorated distance runners. Zoe was a 2 time Pac-10 champion, once each in the 800 and the 1500.

As a professional, Buckman has established herself as one of the top runners in Australia. She met the Olympic 'A' standard back in September, and won three events on the Athletics Australia Tour while finishing second in a close finish at the Olympic trials.

Congratulations, Zoe, and GO DUCKS!
