Hey guys! Guess what? FOOTBALL IS BACK! And we even get some decent football tonight, starting things off with one of the best RBs in college football, and then we get to watch a pirate invade Provo. Now onto the duck-related stuff:
- The Register Guard released their Oregon season preview. Their cover story is on sustaining the Oregon dynasty. The Ducks are in a good position to compete for a 4th straight conference title, something unheard of a couple decades ago.
- With Bryan Bennett still a Duck, Adam Jude caught up with him yesterday. It sounds like Bennett has been under a lot of pressure since Kelly named Mariota the starting QB. But after some time Tuesday to "clear his mind" Bennett decided to stay a Duck, to the delight of his teammates.
- Fentress has a long piece on De'Anthony Thomas, who has been getting a lot of Heisman talk recently. Fentress talks with De'Anthony's friends and family to follow his life story. Along with his immense football talents, after reading this, you can be sure that he's not a punk. Seriously though, this is a great article. You should read it.
- Jude and Fentress also tab a few players as breakout stars.
- Lastly, a couple pieces from Ted Miller from yesterday. First, he has his best case/worst case for Oregon. As always, it's highly entertaining. He also lists De'Anthony Thomas as the #3 player in the Pac-12.
Enjoy the football tonight everyone. Two more days until we're back in Autzen. GO DUCKS!
