Quack Fix: Oregon has a new head track and field coach

Crisco. Bardol. Vagisil. Any one of them will give you another two to three inches drop on your curve ball. Of course, if the umps are watching real close, I'll just rub a little jalapeno up my nose, get it runnin' and wipe my nose.

  • We recorded a Tuesday Night Talk last night, and it was a special episode as Matt and I were joined by Takimoto. We talked about injuries, the Fresno State game, unrealistic expectations, and even a little basketball. Download that episode on Talkshoe or iTunes.
  • In a move that we've long suspected was coming, Vin Lananna has stepped down and Robert Johnson is the new coach of Oregon Track and Field. Johnson was one of the nation's most coveted assistants, and was hotly pursued by North Carolina. Lananna, meanwhile, will stay in Eugene, where he will oversee an attempt to add an indoor track facility, and head up campaigns to bring big track events to Hayward Field, including the 2016 Olympic Trials and the 2019 World Outdoor Track and Field Championships (which would be the biggest event in Eugene, ever).
  • Rob Moseley has a couple of pieces out today, the first talking with Avery Patterson about filling the void left by John Boyett. He also has a note on Josh Huff, who feared the worst when he was hurt against Fresno State, but says its just a sprain.
  • Finally, in non-Duck news, another blow to the Big East as Notre Dame joins the ACC is all sports other than football.

That's all I've got for today. If you find more quack, please share.
