Apparently, Chip Kelly really does mold players in his own image. A week after saying he would stay at Oregon, backup quarterback Bryan Bennett is transferring to Southeast Louisiana, where he will have the inside track at the starting quarterback position. This news was first reported by DuckTerritory, and has since been confirmed by CSNNW's Jordan Whitley.

While Bennett was reportedly going to stay at Oregon and switch to the defensive end, he apparently had a change of heart and took a secret visit to Southeastern Louisiana over the weekend. The Lions are an FCS school in the Southland Confererence and, by dropping a division, Bennett will avoid a transfer sit-out and be eligible to play next season.
While we are sad to see Bryan go, we certainly wish him the best at Southeast Louisiana.
