The Ducks start their weekend with the Rocky Mountain schools with a visit from Colorado. All signs point to Lauren Plum still being on the shelf for this match although coach Moore has said that she is day-to-day. While they lost to USC in their last match, Oregon did play well and look to build on their experiences against the Trojans. We will likely learn a lot about the mental toughness of this team as they face the Buffs who haven't played well on the road. Oregon needs to jump on them early and put this game away.
[From Casey Johnson at U of O]
Colorado is 11-5 and coming off straight-set losses at California and Stanford last week. The Buffs have been a different team at home than on the road this season. Colorado has enjoyed a 4-1 record with wins against UCLA and Washington at home while holding a 2-4 record in true road matches. Taylor Simpson leads the team with 3.60 kills per set.
