Quack Fix: Men's Basketball Advances, Lacrosse takes on San Diego State, and an Oreo Separation Pump Gun

Has anyone else noticed that the NCAA basketball halftime coverage always an Oregon Ducks "O" when the screen-right analysts are shown? Awesome.

USA TODAY Sports
  • Men's Basketball scored a 68-55 victory over the Oklahoma St. Cowboys in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament yesterday. While the Ducks had some difficult stretches, they controlled the game almost throughout with their stifling defense. Marcus Smart was stymied and frustrated for almost the entire game and that is a credit to Johnathan Loyd, Dominic Artis and Dana Altman's gameplan. Oregon will play Saint Louis on Saturday and opened as a 3-point underdog.
  • There is a chance that spring football practices will be open to the public. Football Head Coach Mark Helfrich said they were looking at opening some practices and that decision could be made at the end of the month. I know that this has been a hot button issue for a lot of people but I'll be honest, I don't want to have a ton of people in there watching practices. With it being closed for so long, there is going to be an influx of interested people once the news hits and that could make it kind of sketchy in terms of crowd control. If they do open them, I hope the first few are at a rainy Autzen Stadium.
  • Are you watching the NCAA Tournament instead of reading Addicted to Quack? Worse yet, are you watching the games instead of working? You aren't alone. The Tournament has a very noticeable effect on worker productivity. In fact, American companies are expected to lose $134 million dollars in lost wages due to employees watching games instead of working.
  • Women's Lacrosse will take on San Diego State today in their opening match of MPSF play. The Ducks are 4-2 on the season and are coming off a 13-5 loss to Florida, a loss which broke Oregon's 4-game winning streak.

And finally, I was walking through the store the other day and I saw a package of Oreo cookies. Although I didn't buy them, I thought to myself, "who wouldn't like Oreo cookies"? Well, even if someone didn't like them, they might get some use out of using them as a projectile in case of a zombie invasion. I give to you, the Oreo Separation Pump Gun.
