Saturday wasn't a total loss for the Oregon Ducks, and the Women of Oregon claimed their fourth consecutive NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship.
The Ducks finished with 56 points, ahead of second place Kansas (44) and LSU (43).
The Ducks won the 4 x 400 meter relay, with English Gardner, Chizoba Okodogbe, Laura Roesler, and Phyllis Francis turning in a time of 3:30.22 in the finals. Oregon used a bevy of second place finishes to claim the crown: Gardner in the 60m, Roesler in the 800m, and Jordan Hasay in the 3000 m. Hasay also finished fourth in the 5000m, while Francis sported a fourth place finish in the 400 m.
The men took sixth with 22 points. Elijah Greer won the 800 m, while Mike Berry took second in the 400 m.
Congratulations to the Women of Oregon. It's pretty hard to argue with four straight national titles.
