Another late start for me this morning. Here's a quick-hitting Tuesday quack:
- Last night, the University released over 500 pages related to the NCAA investigation into Oregon's relationship with Willie Lyles. Adam Jude writes that the documents reveal that Oregon has agreed that at least one major violation occurred and has proposed a two-year probation and the loss of one scholarship for each of the next three years. The Ducks are awaiting a hearing in front of the infractions committee.
- Rob Moseley's story today focuses on Tony Washington and Christian French who both earned some valuable experience late last season with Dion Jordan's shoulder injury. Both are expected to play much larger roles this year as they move up the depth chart, with Washington the expected starter and French backing him up.
- After a baseball sweep of Cal last weekend, the Ducks jumped six spots to #10 in the latest Baseball America poll. They hit the diamond again this afternoon to visit Portland at 3 pm. This weekend, the Ducks will host 13th-ranked UCLA.
- And, as Noah wrote yesterday, the football teamed picked up its second verbal commitment for the 2014 class with Nevada OL Tyrell Crosby. Crosby is widely viewed as a three-star prospect and was on of the first recruits offered by the Oregon staff.
Go Ducks!
